| Hi, And Welcome to Imagine Shih Tzu. I am Stephanie Newman and My husband's name Is Mark. I have been showing shih tzu for a while now, We are a small Shih Tzu breeder in Alabama, not a kennel. I do like to show my own dogs myself and on occasion I will use a professional handler for far away shows. I am currently a member of the Atlanta Shih Tzu Club (Associate Member). I am also a member of the "American Shih Tzu Club". I have always owned dogs and I showed Golden Retrievers before I started in Shih Tzu, I also worked for a local doctor who had a kennel with Manchester Terriers and Cairn Terriers and there I was taught alot about showing my own dogs. I studied the shih tzu breed for quite a while before I purchased my first shih tzu Abby. Structure and Temperament is of high importance for me to achieve in my breeding program. I like my dogs to have well rounded personalities for either the show ring or as pets. I don't breed alot so when I do I really like to plan the litters out and I have high hopes for my next show baby to be in the litter. I am fortunate that I have a 400 square foot dog room just off my kitchen to accommodate my dogs, so my dogs see and get to be with us all the time. I keep my number of dogs very limited, so I can spend enough individual time with all of them. I do all of my own grooming and training. Plus my Kids are the number one puppy socializer's.
